Keeping it together is hard.
Growing up is hard, and some teens carry more than they let on. Many of the young people we work with are:
Shy, introverted, or quiet in groups, and unsure how to make friends
Anxious about school, social situations, or being judged
Working on self-esteem and self-confidence
Tending to people-please and struggling to say no or speak up
Feeling isolated or disconnected from peers or family
Stuck in a pattern of overthinking or self-criticism
You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to reach out. If something feels heavier than it should, a conversation is a good place to start.
How we work with teens:
Sessions are built around who your teen is, not a one-size-fits-all script. We use practical, research-supported approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, in a warm and person-centered style. Teens set the pace, and parents stay informed in ways that respect the privacy therapy needs to work.
We offer counseling for teens and young adults. We are not a crisis service and do not treat every concern; if we're not the right fit, we'll say so and help you find someone who is.
A note to the teen reading this
You don't have to have the right words. Therapy here isn't about being told what's wrong with you. It's a place to talk through what's on your mind with someone who listens, and to pick up tools that actually help. You can go at your own pace.
