Therapy for College Students in Virginia
Counseling for the years that are supposed to be the best of your life and often aren't. Secure Telehealth from your dorm, apartment, or car, anywhere in Virginia, on a schedule that works around classes.
Takes about two minutes. No commitment. We reply within one business day.
Nobody warned you it would be this much
College asks you to build a whole life from scratch: new place, new people, new rules, and no one checking whether you ate today.
People often come to counseling for:
Stress, deadlines, and the panic of falling behind
Homesickness, or guilt about not being homesick enough
Anxiety, panic attacks, or trouble sleeping for the first time
Loneliness in a crowd, roommate conflict, or friendships that didn't survive the move
Relationships, breakups, dating, and everything that comes with them
Drinking, partying, or scrolling more than you meant to
Family pressure, a major you don't want, or a path that was chosen for you
Feeling like everyone else got the instructions and you didn't
Counseling that fits a student's life
Telehealth sessions are by secure video, so you don't need a car, a ride, or an hour between classes. We schedule around your semester, and we're honest about what counseling is and isn't: it's a private place to sort out what's actually going on and build skills you'll use long after graduation, using approaches with research support such as CBT and DBT skills. We're not your school, and nothing you say here goes to your school, your parents, or your transcript.

-
Not from us. If you're 18 or older, your counseling is confidential. If you plan to use a parent's credit card or insurance for reimbursement, the insurer may send statements to the policyholder, so ask us about options on the call.
-
Only while you're physically in Virginia, such as over breaks or if you're studying remotely from home. Licensing rules are based on where you are during the session.
-
Yes. You don't need a diagnosis or a breaking point. "I'm not doing great and I don't know why" is enough.
-
We’re out-of-network, and we provide superbills so you can request reimbursement from your insurance company. Reimbursement varies by plan, so ask your provider today what your out-of-network mental health benefits cover.
