Grief

People-Pleasing

Accountability & Relationship Skills

Grief: More Than Just Loss

Grief isn’t just about death; it’s about change — even the change we thought we wanted.

When people hear the word grief, they often think of losing a loved one. But grief shows up in many forms:

  • Breakups or divorce

  • Fertility struggles

  • Career transitions or job loss

  • Friendships that shift or fade

  • The quiet realization that a chapter of life has ended

Sometimes grief sneaks in after something meaningful simply… changes. And when it’s not processed, it can manifest as anxiety, depression, irritability, or a sense of being stuck.

If you feel like you should be “over it” by now, or like no one really understands why this hurts so much, you’re not alone.

Katie is a certified grief-informed professional and grief educator, trained in complex and traumatic grief. She helps clients process their emotions, understand the root of their pain, and move forward while still honoring what’s been lost — growing with their grief, not in spite of it.

People-Pleasing: Learning to Say “No” and not having a crisis over it.

If you’re a self-described people-pleaser, you may feel trapped in a cycle of always saying “yes,” even when you want to say “no.” You might tell yourself that if you’re dependable, helpful, and always available, people will finally appreciate you.

The reality? Often, people-pleasers end up feeling used, exhausted, and overlooked instead of valued and irreplaceable.

Katie knows this struggle firsthand. She spent over a decade in fast-paced corporate environments — juggling sales, marketing, IT, and HR responsibilities while managing tight deadlines and endless demands. She understands how isolating it can feel when no one sees the pressures you face.

She won’t tell you what you should do. Instead, she helps clients:

  • Clarify priorities

  • Set boundaries that actually work

  • Break the cycle of overextending themselves

  • Reclaim their time, energy, and peace of mind

Free consultations are available to see how you can start taking care of yourself without guilt.

Accountability Training: Skills That Actually Work

Sometimes insight isn’t enough. Some people never learned the relationship skills that make life smoother — and it shows:

  • They avoid the mental load like they owe it money

  • Every conversation turns into an argument

  • At work, they feel misunderstood

  • At home, their partner says the same thing over and over:

"You never take responsibility."
"Why can’t you just figure it out?"
"I’m not your parent!"

Accountability Training is a structured coaching-style program that teaches:

  • Taking responsibility without defensiveness

  • Repairing after conflict

  • Listening without blame

  • Showing up differently in work, parenting, and relationships

It’s practical, direct, and real-world focused, led by a Licensed Professional Counselor. Partners, colleagues, and friends often notice the difference — because “sorry you feel that way” is not an apology, but real accountability is transformative.
