Are you a self-described ‘people pleaser?’

I get it. When we are self described people pleasers, it's easy to justify why we cannot put ourselves first . That if we make ourselves dependable and someone everyone can turn to that we will feel appreciated.
If we feel appreciated then it will all be worth it.
And yet, here we are.... reading these words with a light bulb over our head going... yes! That's me! Someone understands me!
The truth is we more often than not we feel used and worn out instead of appreciated and irreplaceable to those we put ourselves out there for. We feel trapped in a cycle and unable to take ourselves out in fear that we will disappoint those who do lean on us to always say "yes."
As someone who has spent over a decade climbing the corporate ladder, working with sales, marketing, IT, and HR, doing too much can take its toll and not having someone who understands where you are at can feel very isolating and lonely.
I'm not here to tell you what you should and shouldn't do. I'm here to help you process your own priorities and decide where your boundaries lie. I understand the demands of a fast pace corporate environment. I understand trying to finish projects while being handed 5 new ones with little guidance but a strict deadline. I understand being unable to leave work at the office and having to balance the needs of my personal life with the pressures of work.
